With a big picture vision, Chad understands the details and logistics necessary to get the job done. Chad works with payers, providers, health systems and states to implement meaningful and necessary innovations, systems, and processes. He uses his in-depth knowledge of systems interfacing and integration, outcomes measurement, workflow, and operations optimization to increase efficiency, productivity, and accountability.
Prior to joining blueEHR, Chad has held roles including the Chief Information Officer for Evergreen Health, Inc., a commercial health insurance payer in Maryland and Director of IT for the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In these roles, Chad oversaw the implementation of a certified statewide EHR, billing, and practice management system for behavioral health providers, established a virtual counseling platform for substance abuse treatment, a project which helped eliminate barriers to care while improving retention and reducing recidivism. He has also executed data interfaces with HIE’s, pharmacy benefit managers, and healthcare diagnostics companies to supplement claims and demographics data – allowing for targeted population health and disease management campaigns.
